Service was great. Ordered calamari and the salmon burger. Both were delicious. Ate on the downstairs patio the atmosphere was perfect.

I was barely hungry and I ate ALL of my crab and shrimp Louis salad! Even the tomato's were perfect! Nice atmosphere and good service. They also had hot tea on a snowy day.
I've had many wonderful meals at Lefty's, even at their previous location in the heart of historic Nevada City. This location along the river, at the edge of historic Nevada City, is breathtaking. We were here for a work lunch, and the food and drinks were amazing, as always. Such great staff too.
What a great place to have a meal sitting on the river! LEFTY'S has some award winning pizzas that shouldn't be missed too. Overall a really nice historic place inside or out.

I treated my girlfriend to dinner and drinks here, and we both had a good time. It is more expensive than one might expect - the average plate is about 27. However, if you’re looking to spend more for a nice meal, I’d say it’s worth it. The staff was friendly and the service was reasonably fast. The food was the best I’ve had in quite a while. I ordered the fish and chips with garlic fries which were both amazing. I also tried my girlfriends burger which was just as good. The red velvet cake we had for dessert was a little on the dry side but still delicious. The dining room was comfortable and relaxing, so I’d definitely recommend lefty’s to anyone looking for a good date night.
